United States President Donald Trump is considering air strikes on Iran to stop a crackdown on protesters, the White House said on Monday, adding that people were being “killed on the streets.”
The BBC reports that at least 648 protesters in Iran have been killed, according to the Norway-based human rights group Iran Human Rights.
Most international news platforms are unable to verify these figures due to the inability to report from inside Iran amid an internet blackout that has entered its fifth day.
However, the reported deaths include nine people under the age of 18, IHRNGO says.
