The Bayana Bayana of South Africa and Pharaohs of Egypt began their 2025 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) Campaign on winning notes, as the Continental championship gets into full swing in Morocco.
South Africa defeated their first round opponents 2-1 while Egypt also won their group opening match against Zimbabwe by 2-1.
The Egyptian side were held to a gruelling 1-1 till the last minute of the encounter before Liverpool talisman Mohammed Salah scored in added minutes to send his compatriots on wild jubilation.
