Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
The Gunners were crowned champions after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, as Mikel Arteta’s side won the league with a game to spare.
Arteta’s side have been top for most of the season and will lift the famous trophy during Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.
And when it comes to medals, they will be distributed among the management team, players and club officials. However, as laid out by rule C.13 in the Premier League Handbook, Arsenal will receive 40 commemorative medals, from which 24 players will get EPL Title medals.
According to the rules, any player who has made at least five Premier League appearances during the current campaign for the Gunners will be automatically entitled to one.
Additional medals can be sought. They require the consent of the Premier League Board, however, and will only be granted if more than 39 players have fulfilled the five Premier League appearance criteria.
And the Gunners have 24 members of their squad who have made five or more appearances in the Premier League so far this season. That includes youngster Max Dowman, who has five to his name.
Arsenal star Declan Rice posted a picture on Instagram with his team-mates with the caption “I told you all.. it’s done.”
