Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote says he expects higher inflation, difficult exchange rates, and other hardships for Africans as a result of the war in Iran.
Meanwhile, Dangote refinery, Africa’s largest, has increased gasoline and urea exports to address supply disruptions from the Iran war.
The refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has helped mitigate fuel shortages in Nigeria and other African countries.
Seventeen gasoline cargoes have been shipped to African nations, and urea exports to Africa have also risen.
The plant can produce up to 3 million metric tons of urea yearly, previously mostly exported to the US and South America.
