AFCON S/Final: Senegal Beat Egypt 1-0

A 77th GOAL by Skipper Sadio Mane earned Senegal a deserved lone goal victory against Egypt in Wednesday’s semi final match of the ongoing continental football tournament in Morocco.

The Senegalese side played out a goalless draw with Egypt in the first half of their 2025 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON).

The scorelines remained the same for greater part of the second half, though Jackson, Mane and their teammates have had six shots so far against Egypt, but the Mo Salah-led Pharaohs are yet to get near the post of their opponents.

85′ The goal by Senegal appears to be the tonic that gingered the Egyptians as they came out strongly to attack from both wings. But, Senegal ‘s defence remained tight as the Pharaohs couldn’t breakthrough.

Senegal however maintained the scoreline till the final whistle, and cruise to the final of the tournament.

Senegal will now await the winner of the second semi final between Nigeria’s Super Eagles ane the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
