. Osimhen With A Brace, Lookman Shows So Much Strength –

Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Monday night drubbed Mozambique by four goals to nothing in their 2025 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) Round Of 16 match.

The Nigerian team showed why they’re called Super Eagles, right from the blast of the whistle, as Ademola Lookman opened scoring for them in about quarter hour mark, and went ahead to give an assist that paved way for Victor Osimhen’s goal to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the first half.

There were near misses from the Eagles side, while Mozambique tried to break the Nigerian domination. The fight half ended with Nigeria Leading by 2-0.

Barely two minutes into the second half, Lookman broke through from the left flank, sends a finished pass to Osimhen who needed just a tap-in for his second goal on the night, that gives Nigeria a deserved 3-0 lead.

The game went on with lots of hard tackles that produced some deserved yellow cards to Wilfred Ndidi and Onyeka, while defence trojan Bassey was also booked.

Akor, who fed Lookman for the first goal, finally registered his name amongst the scorers of the night, making Nigeria’s goals 4-0 to earn a quarter final ticket.
