.Aircraft Forced To Land Due To Cracked Windscreen –

A report from Idungafa Dick, says the Super Eagles’ journey to Uyo for their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic was disrupted when their chartered ValueJet aircraft suffered a cracked windscreen shortly after departing Luanda.

The team had stopped to refuel in Luanda, Angola, after departing from Polokwane, South Africa.
The pilot effectively managed the situation, ensuring the plane’s safe return to Luanda Airport, and all passengers were safe.
As at last night, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was arranging for an alternative aircraft from Lagos to transport the delegation from Luanda to Uyo.
The incident has delayed the Super Eagles’ arrival for their crucial match against Benin Republic, which will determine their progression to the next stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
