Family members, associates, friends and classmates from home and abroad, gathered in the city of Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, to support Foluke Ovire as she says a final goodbye to her mother Mrs. Beatrice Aina Ovire (Nee Ojudu).

Mrs. Beatrice Aina Ovire, popularly known as ‘Mama Londoner’ died at a ripe age of 104 years.

The burial ceremony began on Thursday, 6th August, 2026 with Service Of Songs at her residence; Eminiwa Oke-Epa Quarters (Back of Irewolede Estate) in Ado Ekiti.

The funeral ceremony continued on Friday, 7th August, with a Church Service from 10am at the Cathedral Church Of Emmanuel, Okesa, Ado Ekiti.

The event drew a huge crowd, with Foluke’s Christ’s School Alumni 79/84 Set classmates in attendance. Chairman of the 79/84 Set, Sola Fasanmi led other classmates to give the desired support to Foluke and her bereaved family.

After the Service, the reception was slated for the Afe Babalola Event Hall in Adebayo, Ado Ekiti, where the guests were entertained.

During the profound moment of deep grief, Foluke moved around the venue exchanging greetings with sympathisers who had come to honour her late mother.
