Reports say bandits have attacked rural communities on the western outskirts of Musawa town in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, forcing residents to flee for safety while also rustling large numbers of cattle.
This is according to reports shared by northern security analyst Bakatsine on X on Sunday.
He said the attack has left women and children displaced and stranded in Musawa town without shelter, food, or basic support, even as rainfall continues and conditions remain difficult.
“Humanitarian assistance is urgently needed for the affected families.”
“Security agencies must also intensify operations and provide immediate intervention to protect communities across Musawa LGA and surrounding areas,” he wrote on X.
He also expressed hope that peace and security will return to the affected communities and Nigeria as a whole.
