UEFA Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won a superbly entertaining game against Barcelona in Paris on Tuesday, 20th October, 2026.

The two teams traded goals in the second half after Desire Doue gave the hosts the lead going into half-time.

Twice Barcelona equalised through youngsters Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal but Vitinha’s goal, after an earlier go-ahead goal from Lucas Hernandez, made it 3-2. Then Fabian Ruiz wrapped up the points from close range in the 86th minute.

The evening was soured a little for the European champions as they lost forwards Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to injury either side of half-time.

The free-scoring teams start match week three as the league phase’s top two, with PSG ahead of Barcelona on goals scored and with no other sides having netted more this term.

PSG were 2-1 winners when they met at this stage last season, with Luis Enrique’s side going on to win a second successive Champions League title, having also beaten Barcelona over two legs in the quarter-finals three seasons ago.
