Soji Olowolafe, a Senior Advocate Of Nigeria (SAN), has shared a heart touching story of God’s Grace, Blessings and Prophecy in his family.

Olowolafe, a Litigation expert, LLB (Hons), who studied at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, is celebrating the Call To Nigerian Bar of his daughter Tamilore.

Below is how Olowolafe, an Alumnus of Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, captures the mood in his family.

The piece is titled; ‘Another Prophecy Fulfilled’, enjoy it…

“The story of Call to Nigerian Bar of my daughter, Tamilore captures the very essence of life story – story of God’s promises and promises kept.

“Just God’s grace, His unmerited favour which has now become generational for me. Let me quickly point out why I say it is now generational and goes beyond me.

“Due to some tragic circumstances in our family in the late 80s to mid 90s which shook us to the foundation of our souls, my mother strongly believed she was not going to live long.

“I remember when she turned 65, she was so excited and expressed a sentiment in Yoruba which is better quoted in her same words which I will attempt to translate to English after.

“She said “ki n de ri ki n pe 70”! It is like saying “what a miracle will it be for me to be 70.”

“Then, down the lane, as God would have it, she turned 70 in 2003, the same year we had Tammy. So, she was around with me in my house when she turned 70 and my wife and I celebrated her with a mini parlor party.

“Then later in the night, I went out with Mr. Femi Oyekola who was my senior Partner then. It was like our own boys night out to celebrate my mother’s birthday.

“I told her why I was so excited that she turned 70 in view of her earlier expressed sentiments. I then told Mr. Oyekola that I decided to celebrate her in my own little way because he might not be around at 80.

“By way of digression, the Femi Oyekola with me was not and is still not a Pastor or Prophet o. Just a nominal Christian. But in response, he said something that turned prophetic, he said Soji, please write it down, that woman will still be around when that your daughter, Tammy, will be called to bar!

“He said she will be around and well to witness it! So, this, for me, is another fulfillment of God’s promise which he made to me, an unworthy fellow through an unlikely channel.

“To God’s glory, 23 years after the prophetic utterance, my mother is still around and well at 93, my daughter has turned a lawyer in her lifetime as predicted.

“Isn’t God simply awesome?! Please join me and my family in praising His holy name.”

The management and editorial board of this newspaper heartily rejoice with Soji Olowolafe and his family on this milestone.

Congratulations, SOJ.
