Iran begins days long funeral processions for their supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed by the United States of America.
Reports say millions of sympathisers are expected to attend.
The first day of public ceremonies has begun as Iran pauses diplomacy with the US for the funeral.
Mourners have turned up at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran, where coffins containing the bodies of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several members of his family are on display.
Funeral processions are expected to take place at multiple locations in Iran and Iraq until July 9.
Iran is on watch for any attacks that may target the funeral, where millions of people and several foreign dignitaries are expected to take part.
It’s not known if the funeral will mark the first public appearance of new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei since his father was killed on the first day of the war.
Iran’s army general has warned the US and Israel against launching attacks during the ceremonies.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has said the US is giving Iran “a week off for a funeral.”
