Nigerian music star Davido headlined the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert on Tuesday, June 10, 2026.
The Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star performed at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, sharing the stage with Major Lazer and other special guests as part of global festivities marking the countdown to the tournament, that officially kicks off on Thursday, 12th June.
The Los Angeles concert was one of three simultaneous kickoff events held across the World Cup host nations (the United States, Canada, and Mexico) to build excitement.
Davido’s inclusion in this event was built on his historic run with FIFA, as he notably became the first African artist to perform at a World Cup outside of Africa during the 2022 Closing Ceremony in Qatar.
