Chukwueze, Iwobi & Bassey Help Fulham Beat Tottenham In EPL Battle

It was a weekend of glory and accolades for Nigerian players; Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey who put up superlative shows, as they inspired Fulham to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in a crunch English Premier League (EPL) match.

Chukwueze was named Man Of The Match in the game played Saturday night at Spurs saw Chukwueze bag an assist in the fourth minute of the game as Fulham got on the lead through Kenny Tete.

Harry Wilson doubled their lead just two minutes later, with the visitors staying on top throughout the first half.

Spurs pulled one back on the hour mark but could not find an equaliser as Fulham held on to take all three points home.

Chukwueze, Iwobi and Bassey were part of Super Eagles’ squad that failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the United State of America (USA) and canada.
